"There's a couple of rules you can remember: Rule # 1 is the more radical you get the faster you get out of debt, so if you are gonna play with this you're gonna be in debt a long time. If you're gonna go crazy and work like a crazy person and sell so much stuff the dog's hiding, then you can get out of debt faster. Then the second rule is just the mathematical rule and that's shovel-to-whole ratio; how big a shovel [how much you make] you have versus how big a whole you're in [how deeply in debt you're in]" Dave Ramsey
