The first three steps are a thousand dollars saved in the bank, baby step two is you pay off all your debts except your home by working your debts off smallest to largest in what we call the debt snowball and then baby step 3 is you go back to the thousand dollar account and you raise it up to a fully funded emergency fund of 3 to 6 months of expenses."
