"The biggest downside of the debit card is that sometimes when you check into a hotel or rent a car, they will put a hold on a portion of the money in your checking account. So if you are very limited on money on your checking account and they put a hold on it and another transaction that you did tries to go through, it might bounce a check for you." Dave Ramsey
